At the Ozturk Lab, we foster an open-minded and collaborative research environment. We welcome inquiries from talented individuals who are interested in joining our group or establishing new collaborations.
While Professor Ozturk is a member of the Geological and Planetary Sciences (GPS) faculty, the nature of our research spans multiple disciplines—including physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering. We therefore encourage graduate student applications from across Caltech's BBE, CCE, GPS, and PMA divisions.
Graduate Students
Admitted graduate students in any division of Caltech are welcomed in our group. If you are interested in joining our lab, please email Furkan with your CV and arrange a meeting to discuss potential research projects.
Prospective graduate students should submit their applications directly to the Caltech division of their choice. Admission decisions are made independently of our group's research interests.
Undergraduate Students
We welcome motivated Caltech undergraduates at all stages of their studies. Students interested in joining our research group are encouraged to email Furkan with their CV and a brief description of their research interests.
Students are also invited to apply for undergraduate research fellowships, especially through the WAVE and SURF programs.
Postdoctoral Researchers
We welcome postdoctoral applications from candidates with diverse scientific backgrounds and expertise. Please email Furkan with your CV, a brief statement describing your research background and interests, and the names of a few references.
